I am Andrew Shelton and like Joe I was a Bainbridge Island kid. After graduating from the high school there life whisked me off to many places including college in Ohio and Colorado, ski bumming in Wyoming, work in Alaska and Illinois, and travel in Europe and South America. I spent the last 11 years working as a commercial fisherman, including Bering Sea crabbing and captaining a salmon boat in Bristol Bay. During the fishing off seasons I worked as a face-to-face street fundraiser on the busy sidewalk in Chicago and Seattle, recruiting monthly donors to sponsor children in poverty. My two careers involved abundant natural beauty and connecting with thousands of wonderful humans so the opportunity to be a broker in Bellingham was my dream job. Places you’re most likely to spot me: Mt. Baker, out social dancing, and shooting the breeze with randoms out and about.
